About Oana Garis

Over 16 years beside leaders who cannot afford the wrong right hand.

$4 million in annual savings. $1.2 million in reduced risk exposure. 100% on-time board delivery across public and private companies. Operating infrastructure that carried a company from 7 to 250 employees in six months.

Oana Garis has spent her career working directly with founders, CEOs, board chairs, and ultra high net worth (UHNW) principals whose decisions carry material consequence. She has served as Chief of Staff, Board Secretary, and trusted proxy inside organizations ranging from a $350 million venture-backed platform to an $85 billion Fortune 500 global enterprise, a discreet $8 billion family office, and an elite investment bank with a $2 billion portfolio.

For 8 years, she supported a 10-figure Canadian founder recognized among the country's Top 50 Most Influential Business Leaders, representing his interests across business, government, philanthropy, and private estate operations.

At GM Cruise, she cut $4 million from the organization's annual budget and reduced portfolio risk exposure by $1.2 million. As the 7th employee of a 4-month-old venture-backed startup, she built the administrative, governance, finance, and operating infrastructure from zero. Six months later the company had 250 employees, 15% lower costs, 20% faster delivery, and 7% higher revenue, running on the systems she designed.

Her board systems have delivered materials 7 days ahead of every meeting, without exception, across multiple public and private companies. She has redesigned governance frameworks, authored resolutions, established board operating cadences, and implemented the technology that protects deadlines and strengthens director readiness.

That work has extended into government relations, investor communications, cross-border acquisitions, executive events, philanthropy, and family office operations. She has managed sensitive matters through election cycles, supported relationships with senior government stakeholders, and operated as the discreet extension of principals whose professional and private lives could not be separated.

Oana is fluent in English, Italian, French, and Romanian, and conversational in Spanish. Her early career included supporting the President and CEO of Emerson's Italian division in Milan and working entirely in Italian for the President and CEO of Saipem Canada. She moves naturally between cultures, leadership styles, and high-stakes environments on both sides of the Atlantic.

Over the years, principals in Oana's own network kept asking her the same questions. How to diagnose a support structure that was failing. How to define the role correctly. How to recognize the judgment the position requires before another expensive mis-hire. This site is where those answers now live.

It is a working library: the systems she has built, the standards she applies, and the lessons learned inside rooms where time, decisions, and reputations carried real weight. The Deadline-Proof System™ and The Quiet Operator Blueprint™ codify the methods behind her board execution and operating cadence. They were developed from real executive work rather than management theory, and she runs on them daily.

A startup founder once described her as "a Ferrari when the company is stuck in second gear."

That is the standard: see what others miss, build what the organization lacks, and make execution dependable for the person carrying the greatest responsibility.

Oana holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Linguistics from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. She is a Texas Notary Public and a certified ESG Advisor through the International Association for Sustainable Economy.
